The actual girls are... well, they're variable despite mostly being NEETS, they used to go on chans (some might still idk but most don't), and quite a few were camwhores/chanwhores for money and attention. You'd be surprised how many are still virgins even.
You really, genuinely wouldn't know they're internet famous if they're worth meeting and befriending until they tell you, or you did your research and caught them in the wild.
For instance Matsuri isn't playing a character 99% of the time. She's actually like that in real life, though I haven't met her and it what some friends say that shows she's actually like that, and is actually pretty cool. Hope I meet her one day, doubtful though.
There's really two types of people - the empty people looking for the internet to fill them, and the people looking to fill other empty people on the internet. That's part of why "empty internet" anomaly is huge fyi, there's just less realized opportunity and fewer people willing to create content because of people only using the internet for like 5 things.
Empty people combined have got a lot of money, and they want a lot of attention (and to give it), but most people who go on the internet for chuubas, regular youtubers, etc., really wouldn't like the real person behind the camera, just like they don't like the person behind the screen, outside of this one, specific, very nuanced relationship through the internet.
Stop using them to completely replace having a girlfriend outside of a shtick, or be used as the paypig you're asking to be.
Dunno what else to tell you guys. Also fuck badpinkcat and Chicken, they're actually as awful as everyone says they are, especially in real life. Nyan made porn of her getting off to... well, something criminal, and videos of her doing some actually very criminal activity (a friend sold it and tossed it around on anonfiles and discord and shit, that's what that anon that rants about her is going on about). Chicken is unironically woke but scared that people know and considering just being a good chuuba to not rile up anyone who would do to her what they'd do to Nyanners (posting ogey-killing yabs), Investigator is really mean (like, bad stacy that incels and anyone with a soul would dislike kind of mean, and also kinda woke) and Dice teetering between wanting to grift for more internet guys who "get it," or stumbling into just being a good chuuba. Hope she does that.
Shark is actually really cool, had an alcohol problem, got better, was always based and is unironically /ourgal/ along with soph. Tentacles is also good, but not based, just normal shy american-asian girl.
