If you have a 1080p 60hz monitor you can use the shittiest card available and run anything. The experience you get is WAY better in a 1440p 120hz+ monitor, but that's twice the pixels and twice the framerate, or about 4 times the requirements for GPU power. And that's not even mentioning 4k or higher framerates (Which is completely unnecessary) but still.
