It was a somewhat rundown western victorian in the historical district with incredibly cheap rent for such a good neighborhood, which was offset by the constant temperature shifts, running footsteps and slamming doors at night, feelings of being watched, breathing noises, and the non-existent radio in what once was a kitchen playing old country music-- like early days of radio old-- early in the morning. I've no idea what went on in that house but you can bet your ass they didn't try dunning me for breaking the lease.
