It's very clear an asset flip, the slums at the start had some attention, but at some point the developer just gave up and put the assets haphazardly, the only reason anyone cares is because it's jank/rage bait for streaming.

I haven't seen the end of the game now that it's out of early access. But it's definitely the kind of game where you can either rush through all the story quests, or you can spend basically forever just fishing and doing optional quests etc etc.

Even if you rush things though it's still probably a 20 hourish game.

I have never understood why people hate the Skyrim milking, yeah, Todd wants your money but he doesn't make your copy unplayable whenever a new version comes out. If you bought Skyrim back in 2011 for the pc, you can still play just fine and never spend another dime in Skyrim (but the remastered edition is advanced scamming with the paid mods).
