>>53315540>but that worked since in Japan there doesn't seem to be this weird divide that EN has between normal streamers and vtubersthat divide is particularly a Hololive thing (big streamers don't really have much issue collaborating with chuubas like Mouse or Nijis, even if they drop a snide remark once in a while) and mostly due to Cover being so invested into corporate appeal of HoloJP that anything that could've risked it (like EN collabing with "outsiders", Coco's edgier content, a lot of the erolive shit) was heavily curtailed through the pandemic years, when things in the west were getting attention from the bigger scene
I know people won't like to hear this, but in a world where Mori got her Charlie collab early and things followed in that direction, HoloEN as a whole would've probably been a bigger entity than it is now and more similar to how HoloJP and HoloID are seen in their home turfs, as an integral and significant part of internet media
right now they're just a super specific, "comfy" niche without much relation to mainstream
a lot of people here prefer that, some of the girls prefer that, but for those like Kiara who have ambitions of growing and being successful, it is a huge opportunity loss that they'll never really recover from unless a second boom happens
