She was accused of being secretly part of a company a long time ago (with kinda shaky evidence from what I remember). She then revealed that she was originally fully independent and was asked to join a company after she blew up, but it was a black company that made her lie about continuing to be independent and fucked with her tags and other shit. And that she was negotiating to leave them. And then the fad kinda died and I don't remember reading any further updates.
So she might have left them, she might have not been able to, she might have also always been a part of the company and lied about them as a cover story. Who knows. But if she ends up reincarnating somewhere, that mostly confirms that she was unable to leave the company and has to start over with a new IP.
