Its a weird spot for an artist since the character IP isn't theirs, just the derivative art. In addition to that she could have simply received nothing at all based upon the designs being created while she was an employee and it's not uncommon for the rights to go to the company not the individual artist in that case. If she does have a deal for residuals its more than likely going to be very small.

I don't think it's a smart move to release new merch of a talent you've terminated. It would make a lot of money, but her RM would probably cause a lot of drama over a new Rushia good.
