Some of the people are incredibly talented like the Gaston performers are some of the best in the parks and these guys make like $20 an hour at best while having to stay in character all day long and have constant interactions with people. They can literally get fired from performing if they have any sort of weight fluctuations or look "too old". If you're a costume character you can become disqualified even if you don't gain weight but because some park executive who walks by you while you're performing literal songs and dances wearing stuffy costumes in 100 degree Florida weather says your "shoulders are too small to play Mickey Mouse's dog"
No one is allowed to know who you are, you're never allowed to break character, you're constantly on call in case anyone needs you and you're not even paid enough to make rent.
A lot of the characters do it simply because they love the job of making people smile.
I don't think any vtuber company in the world can compare to the shit Disney does and will continue to do because they're rich.
I still love Disney world& universal tho. Some of the shit there really is unlike anything you can experience at a regular theme park
