>>53548425Stars wasn't universally liked either, they were mostly just irrelevant and left alone -because- they didn't really interact with the girls and were harmless. "Discussion" about them was limited to "basically just Roberu for like 20 posts if literally nobody and I mean nobody else was streaming." It was like less than 1% of the total discussion on any given day if not 0.1%. The notion of jolly cooperation on /jp/ was under the assumption they were under similar levels of interest between users there - they were not.
Tempus started doing girl collabs within like 3 weeks however, with multiple ENs who generally all had a patronizing shitty attitude about it to boot, it was asking to not be liked. If you'd remember, when Tempus initially debuted, they actually got a pretty significant benefit of the doubt where people were fine with them being their own thing for a couple weeks and then it got all fucked up because they started to get entangled with the girls. That course of events just didn't happen with StarsJP, and all the girls /hlg/ liked the most back then (besides towa) were generally free of male collabs, or had done like 1 back in 2017 or something before /hlg/ even existed and never since.
People didn't give a shit about the dudes, they just didn't, and still don't. I don't care if they make 10 Tempus waves. I just won't watch them because I'm not interested in male vtubers. That isn't me seething, that is just taste, same way someone just cannot train themselves up to like pineapple on pizza generally, it is just a lifelong "nah I don't want it" and they sure as fuck don't want to be forcefed it all the time or it'll ruin pizza for them. Today's homobeggars are trying to forcefeed the fans of the girls pineapple pizza and accusing those fans of being haters or problematic or something for refusing. It's disingenuous.
