>>53591581Call what you want. It's basically Unity with beautiful level design. There isn't much implemented. I don't really think it would end up being a good MMO in modern Standards. The most work is done through Unity engine. Cover just brought assets, models, motion capture data, level design and a bit code. The basic 3D world (pyramid player models that can jump, wave penlights and hover around) including the physics, light system and apply mocap data to the model is a heavy part Unity provides. Not to blame. Cover used Unity all the time. They are already quite experienced regarding the 3D shows. But just keep in mind that's actually very basic shit: 1-4 models, mocap data and maybe tracked properties in a 3D world that often has no more interaction.
We had streams where there was actual interaction in a level like a trap door or falling objects at Korone's birthday or the pose matching game at a ssholox stream.
But building a MMO(RPG) is a huge thing. So I guess they'll stick around with some VRChat like experience and maybe (really maybe) add some kind of small adventures with cheap minigames (jumping, pressing keys at the right moment, and so on). But their main focus are concerts (which must be prepared in their direction) and their ingame shop sales. High prices for cheap props that just cost a bit of storage to sell with no high cuts.
If they can pull people into their metaverse, it's good for Cover.
