It seems like they've basically given up on the whole "vsinger" shtick between Cover being slow as fuck when it comes to producing her music and manager ghosting her a prolong periods of time
It probably doesn't help that her normal streaming content seems far more popular than her music

Her terrible mv views are because she's the En Vsinger not in spite of it. No one wants to support corpo slop when the talent themselves has no stake in the creative process and when they aren't risking their own money on the thing. Everyone knows there will be more releases so they can just watch a normal amount of times unlike someone like kronii or kiara where a big flop could really cost them so people saviour fag and spam replays

For her last ep Quarter Bravery there was an interview with Elements Garden who produced it. It was pretty enlightening. They definitely attributed more to IRyS's influence than she actually did though. IRyS said herself on stream the direction was mostly planned already like the themes and the overall Celtic inspirations. She mostly picks between certain available tracks she's shown and has mild input on lyrical rewrites if something is glaringly wrong. The biggest one was she basically requested a whole rewrite of One Step At A Time to be more about her fans uplifting and supporting her rather than the tired old "I am IRyS bringer of hope" shtick. The area she really shines is obviously where she has most control which is her creative choices for her vocals. She also does all her own harmonies.

But having said all that it's not entirely wrong to say she basically just does what cover wants and has to follow their retarded recording schedule which often results in long breaks because she's busy or recovering from damaging her throat. Ultimately she's a singer not an musical artist like mori or suisei

Yeah from what I remember her discussing she doesn't really have much say in her music. It's kinda disappointing because she's definitely got some vocal prowess but she's kneecapped by management

I want both of them to give the most rigid, cold acknowledgement of each other you've ever seen because neither wants anything to do with the other.

Yea but she's not having it being entirely in English so the RECORDING INDUSTRY will push it out with the rest of the slop. After all there are not that many real independent stations anymore as most have been bought up by Corps owning dozens if not hundreds of stations nationwide so you get soulless Washed up "Celebrity DJs" being pumped out nationwide who don't care at all and easily can be replaced by AI generated DJs as they're not even pretending to be concerned with LOCALE OF STATION BROADCASTING

It's also one of the reasons she struggles to find success in her music even within her own fanbase. Her fans don't feel like support for song #104 = support for IRyS specifically. Fans want to play their part in the idol journey too not push a corpo. Ironically the Vsinger framework is holding her music back.

She's pretty honest with her feelings regarding her originals and it's why she streams a lot and for so long (not recently though because she's currently in the previously mentioned recording hell) The only music she actually gets excited about are her covers which she gets mostly total freedom with and actually pays for herself and One Step At A Time which was her love letter to her fans. She's still proud of her work on her other songs but obviously doesn't feel much ownership over them and gets discouraged by their haphazard release strategy and a lack of communication by her management

If they want to make popular western pop music then they need to hire western producers and ghostwriters.
Have you ever listened to the lyrics of any of her songs? They make no sense even from a "music is poetry" perspective, like someone put them through machine translation three times.
Pop music needs to be simple repetitive or else legible and "relatable"

If cover wants to continue producing music in hololive, they should get an electronic musician who can do synthwave or something, stuff without lyrics, instead of a lyrical performer to frontman.

When I first heard her design is by redjuice, and she is supposed to be a singer, I foolishly held a small hope they would go for EGOIST collab at some point because chelly/Inori would be like her older sister. Obviously never happened, not that I'm surprised, EGOIST was always more niche, and kinda dead lately. Still a shame.
