Mel was scouted by her creepy manager. If she hadn’t gotten in early, her manager would still be around trying to get her in. She is great at singing and dancing, and used to be one of the most popular holos, but was screwed over because of Susan, and legal stuff. Putting all of that aside, her network in the vtubing scene is huge, and she would be able to get in due to her connections alone.
Aki is probably the best dancer in all of Hololive. Like Mel, she used to be a lot more popular, but was also screwed over when Susan decided she hated ASMR.
Matsuri was one of the front runners, and would likely still be so today (despite the male debuff) if it wasn’t for her menhera nature. Also a pretty skilled dancer.
Fubuki is still one of the front runners today. Has an insane work ethic and possesses a huge amount of knowledge on otaku culture.
Haachama‘s good at English (like Lui), good at dancing, and very fun and creative in a way that stands out (see her HoloEN audition video for example).
4/5 gen 2 members are 5views. Subaru is insane in that she’s one of very few vtubers who can maintain 5 digits in later parts of her JRPG play throughs. Manjigumi carried early on, and are all going strong even today. One can only imagine how strong they could be if they actually streamed.
As for Choco she used to be very popular early on for her ASMR, but got screwed over by Susan. Used to be a streaming machine until very recently. There is nothing that suggests she wouldn’t be able to get in as another Mel nepo-hire even today.
Gamers was the first JP gen to have every member reach 1 million subs. Would in any case be able to get in as Foobs’ nepo-hires
