Omega failed for various reasons. You had some in the fanbase already hating management after the Haachama/Coco stuff, plus that one manager trying to get in on XIV collabs. A week after his dumb lore video and he wasn't doing shit aside from tweeting completely unrelated things. Not to mention none of the girls mentioned him in a positive light at all, they either memed on him or said they had no idea who he was which meant the whole "I'm the first EN" was bullshit.
