global, not just /vt/ but /literally just us/ blow them the fuck out of the water. even if you think /vt/ is entirely invalid and unusable outside global, we still talk a lot more than them and we discuss streams about 1000% more than them too. the reddit is mostly just fluff posts, very stale/empty meme upvoting spam (including stuff often just stolen from twitter) to boot. they almost don't talk and what they do say means almost nothing, the vast majority of the time.
people defer to them because "it's reddit, it's one of the biggest sites in the world, of course they're the main hub of activity right" - wrong. in fact, it's REALLY wrong. people I think don't contemplate how little they post there, how much it's fucking died in activity the past two years and the fact they almost never have tough discussions on anything, because Cover just locks it if anything rough happens (big graduations, tempus 2 etc). it's not the real community platform for this topic.
