It means support. "To push" is also oshi but it's written differently and is a different word.
Men is short for the Japanese loan word メンバー/member
Oshi men = supported member
Shortened to just oshi

But it doesn't matter because people who think slang words don't develop their own distinct nuanced meaning seperate from the root after decades of use are retarded
It's not the same exactly but it'd be like trying to explain what 'tweet' means via parallels to bird noises. You could do it, but it'd look weird.
