The real answer is that it's a unique entertainment form. Women and men act differently around each other by merit of their gender alone, when you mix them too much you get "inter-gender" behavior, which is the norm of almost every single entertainment form available, it's kind of "safer" or more "neutered". Gender segregated entertainment is much more rare, and some people find it more entertaining than the mixed kind. Examples of this are sororities and fraternities, they allow a unique kind of closeness and behavior that can only be fostered in gender segregated environments. The replies you've received so far are just the trannies seething they're not allowed in the girls sorority. Another example you might have experienced is when you walk in a room with a bunch of women talking spiritedly amongst themselves and when they see you, a male in the room, they suddenly become quiet and you can tell the topic changed. Sometimes that's because they're talking about women stuff, love shit involving people you might know, etc. but it's also this phenomenon. A male version of this is toning down their banter. A lot of women just can't take banter, the ones who say they can usually can only take a little, they just don't handle it like men do. For a man watching, that can be boring, for a woman watching, that can cause the stream to lose some of the charm it had before since they're women and don't get to experience that like men do. I've been told that last part many times by several women, they like how men act around other men in simple terms of friendship.
What's more, if you look across history you find constant drama derived from mixing the genders, almost every fiction or non-fiction story labeled with "drama" will almost certainly involve a woman and a man's romantic involvement. A lot of viewers came to Hololive specifically because they were running from the twitch streamers constant drama and other bullshit, some came for the gender segregated behavior they were selling themselves off of, and some just showed up because they thought it was cool in general. What's clear however is that this is a small, niche approach to streaming, there are obvious alternatives to Hololive that clearly go about it the "normal" way, Niji for instance, but these types of people don't care. They want to specifically target the one, single group that wants to do things a different way they don't like and put extreme effort into dismantling it for no other purpose then to ruin something someone else enjoys. They want to do this instead of, get this, they use this one a lot when you tell them you don't want to watch that kind of thing
