What's the point in debuting vtubers at this stage in vtuber history when everyone either:
A) Likes vtubers and is already watching/supporting as many as they can.
B) Hates vtubers.

Well I can't speak for most on here since I took a break from /vt/ since March of last year, but I think it's for people who want a new guard of talents to follow. That's why I started browsing this board again specifically because EN3's announcement caught me off guard.

I, at least, just fell down the rabbit hole in November. I've watched several of the girls from the different branches and enjoy them quite a lot, but the feeling of being a stranger who is trying to get into an existing community is definitely palpable. So the idea of being able to start from scratch with a fresh generation of girls is quite appealing.

That's not really a fair comparison when one of those things can provide up to 100 hours of content at most while a single vtuber can provide literally thousands of hours of content from streaming every day for years.

It would be the opposite, actually. A game provides 10-100 hours of very tightly focused enjoyment, but with a vtuber (at least, let's say after a month of activity) that's 100-1000 hours of streams to sift through if you aren't using clips and browsing threads. Part of the appeal of the initial days of a new generation of vtubers is that the signal-to-noise ratio is high and so it feels like every Tweet and every collab matters a lot more than it does down the line.

It's called consolidation. The audience is growing but the market is so diverse and spread out that it gives the illusion that vtubing is on a decline.
