I was watching Sora the Troll, who makes much of his living doing translations, and he said that ChatGPT 3.4 was already as good as he could do manually, and he was using it to CC all his Japanese language videos in English.
They've already moved on to ChatGPT 4 and it's only going to get better. Honestly the life expectancy of the average translator/localization job right now is measured in months. Thank God.
