>>54941341I mean yeah sure, but I didn't even deem to mention those because I thought everyone already that knows the smallcorpo/indie vtuber scene, bar a few, mostly doesn't exactly play by the same Hololive unicorn standards and is not as anal about muh no male collabs, so everyone who expected her to have never interacted with a dude ever in her previous personas is just a retard, and likewise anyone expecting her to become a hardcore homo dickrider now is just retarded as well.
The ditching of the vtuber model has a plausible charitable theory - Cover is generally ok with some ongoing roommate activity (bar common sense restrictions like don't purposefully mention your HL persona on your other accounts, and vice versa), and she's going to continue being active on her roommate. But there seems to be some, I don't know if it's a hard policy or just a soft suggestion, expectation that at least the only vtubing you do anymore is on the side of your main HL job, and you use something else, like your real face or whatever, on your side activities. Call it a halfway non-compete or whatever. So, somewhere in the process of getting into Hololive, she had to retire her own vtuber persona at least.
Of course, this is all just speculation, and what do I know, maybe she really just wanted to funnel her vtuber fans to her irl. But even if so, I'm still not sure what I should be angry about here, given she wasn't in an corpo so there's no "betrayal" angle to push, she was just switching people from one of her accounts to... another one of her accounts, plus it's not like probably all of her fans didn't already knew both her personas anyway given how she never made it a big secret. The only way I could imagine taking that as a negative is when you purposefully go out of your way to construe some kind of meta-argument about "she's not respecting ~vtuber culture~ and muh kayfabe enough!!".
Of course, disregard any slack I've been giving her so far if she really turns out to be as blatant as Mori about it, but that's a high bar to clear (and even then, it's apparently not disqualifying and most people don't care, only a tiny minority gives Mori shit for it) and I'd rather just relax, wait and see how she develops, instead of already getting pre-angry at all possible imagined disasters, only for her to probably turn out fine and being worried for nothing.
