With over 500 votes, the poll should give us a rough idea of the mental state of ruffians.
I. QUESTION
The question posed was simple: Which behavior and interaction is expected for FuwaMoco (Both are a single entity in this case) without drawing the ire of Rufflings, their fans. The question was based around FuwaMoco's initial pledge during the debut to keep Ruffians smiling.
II. SCENARIOS
The scenarios given filled a wide range of possible things that could happen, regardless of homobegging or not. The scenarios ranged in severity but there was not a clear scale.
III. INTENT
The intent was to determine if a critical amount of rufflings would be drastic in their opinions or actions, causing distress to FuwaMoco and possibly facilitating an early graduation due to stress, similar to Chinese harassment experienced by OG talent Kiryu Coco.
The intent WAS NOT to determine what amount of homobegging was acceptable because no amount of homo- or collabbegging is acceptable.
IV. METHOD
The method used was an anonymous online poll that was posted multiple times throughout the day in both hololive global and /baubau/, the FuwaMoco split. You were able to choose multiple acceptable scenarios for you, a severity scale was not used as this is purely subjective. However, they will be loosely grouped for the results. The limitations sadly include that we cannot cross-reference groups (aka, we cannot see how many schizos are in each group). Assumptions that Schizos are in group 4 will not be made. The Schizo group was made to have a clear indication of how many Ruffians intent to cause harm to FuwaMoco for a perceived breaking of the pledge.
V. RESULTS
tl;dr: Almost half of the Ruffians wish for no interaction between FuwaMoco and Holostar. An expected result and nothing to be concerned about. 40% of Ruffians do not mind interactions (Groups 2-4). 13% of Ruffians wish to cause harm to FuwaMoco for a perceived breaking of the pledge.
1. No Interaction (None of the above, By proxy in a bigger event but not directly in contact, Interactions with a Hololive Member that regularly interacts with Holostars) 47% (240/511)
2. Passing Interaction (Chat interaction, Twitter interaction) 14% (72/511)
3. Temporary interaction (Video Project or Song Cover, Group collab instigated by another member) 12% (63/511)
4. Direct confrontation (Collab instigated by a Holostar to directly interact with FuwaMoco, Collab instigated by FuwaMoco to directly interact with a Holostar, Interaction off stream) 14% (68/511)
5. Schizos 13% (68/511)
As expected, the majority of Ruffians do not want any direct interaction between Holostar and FuwaMoco. This is counterbalanced by the 40% that do not mind interactions (of varying degrees). A good and healthy split.
Interesting to note is that if a direct collab comes to be, more Ruffians prefer the collab being hosted by FuwaMoco(5%) and not by Holostar (4%). The same could be said for interactions in stream chat (8%) are preferable to interactions on X (formerly Twitter) (6%). Another interesting datapoint is that a one-off project, like a cover is preferred (7%) to a collaboration stream with multiple people, including Holostar (5%).
13% of Ruffians wish to cause harm to FuwaMoco for any interaction with Holostar. This option is the 2nd most voted, with "interaction of "tainted" Holo" being an expected 1st. It is interesting to see that 10% of Ruffians do not even wish for that, however since we cannot cross-examine the poll, we cannot tell how many of these are included in the 13% that wish to cause harm. We can only state that more Ruffians wish to cause harm to FuwaMoco than Ruffians which would like a complete and total abstience of Holostar and Holostar adjecent content or members.
IV. CONCLUSION
Ruffians are not in danger of being corrupted by schizos. Despite the 13% who wish to cause harm to FuwaMoco for perceived transgressions against the pledge, There is more than double the amount of Ruffians in either Big grouping (No interaction or Interaction of varying degrees) that can drown out possible harassment by the 13% of schizo Ruffians.
