The western viewers were already connecting with the JP vtubers and watching the translated clips. That's why there was so much hype for the EN branch in the first place. People wanted more of that, but in English. Nobody wanted vtubers to connect with about western shit.

Agree to this. They might be degen inside or even show it a few times on stream, they generally have the 'cutesy' kid friendly atmosphere which will be taken into consideration for kid promotions. A lot of the JPs are also trying to get into kid friendly things as well.
