It's baffling how mismanaged the holostars have been through their entire history. It's like Cover doesn't want them there but they still went out of their way to recruit them.

They should've dropped the idea of ever entering the fujo market, and instead try to make a branch that focuses more on bro dude stuff, but it's too late for that.

The way they treated their most popular tempus member, Vesper, tells me that Cover has no fucking clue on how to deal with men and truly expected them to just do the exact same thing that the girls do and now are baffled that it backfired.

It's clear that they plan on going full passive aggressive on the rest of tempus until all of them leave.

it's literally been the opposite, cover bends over backwards to accommodate the holostars despite being a much smaller demigraphic

Brotubers are a meme. The second they start collabing with my oshi they stop being bros and start being competition from a position of privilege, it will never work and their disastrous ability to appeal to the hololive fanbase proves that. Focus on the fujos because if you want to be a male vtuber that is your market for better or worse and keep the products separate.

A male vtubers place in this world is appealing to yumes/fujos, if that chafes then maybe they should find another career.

It was a spur of the moment idea right after Luxiem debuted. The first ever hint of males in EN came a few weeks into their honeymoon period when Kiara asked her chat if they would be okay with male collabs. Management obviously were jealous and wanted their own version of Vox. After the new car smell wore off they probably were changing their minds about the whole thing but it was too late since they recruited two gens already.

I doubt they do. Vesper and Magni are likely out, but other 6 should be allowed to just do their thing.
But we might not see expansion of the branch anytime soon.

You mean covercorp, and they are just dealing with the fallout of bad EN management for the past few years and are trying to fix it.

Tempus was a big mistake that damaged the sister brand and caused reduced revenue for the entire year.

Brotubers have unironically never been tried in EN, at least not corpo. They almost did with Krisis since it was supposed to be the gamer wave, but then they hired 3 shoto clones and fired the actual gamers.
A male-aimed male vtuber group might work, but it probably won’t be in Holo if it does. If Cover wants to completely decouple their male talent from anything idol-related (and rebrand stars because it’s completely cursed), it’s not impossible they eventually get a successful group that doesn’t require a large female fanbase. Don’t expect it anytime soon if ever though.

E;R is the most normal guy who's done any vtuber streams. His numbers weren't great, but they were better than the homos', because nothing about his streams was repulsive to men.

When girls pretend to be anime characters it's cute, because girls are cute, and most of the times we are more apologetic towards them.

If that means some guy playing character action games like Devil May Cry getting crazy combo records while acting like Kamina, then sure why not. I’d certainly watch that, but I’d also watch someone that does no kayfabe and just acts like any other male Youtuber I like, but without the malicious feelings towards the anime community.

If the western vtuber community is incapable of housing many different types of creators from high kayfabe to no kayfabe, men and women, then the whole medium is wasted potential incarnate. The idea that the only purpose of vtubing is to be a replacement girlfriend/boyfriend simulator is so absurdly limiting that it would actually be really sad both from a creativity and tech standpoint if that’s the endpoint with no further progression or variety. CGCDT never attracted me to vtubing in the first place, so I hope we get more variety before the whole concept goes the way of early vloggers in the west.
