The other part of it is the usual. All covers and most original songs come out of the Holo's pocket. They have to put all the work in, though I assume Cover will at least pitch in with contacts and paperwork. If they're gonna take the risk of course they want to take some steps to ensure it justifies the cost, which includes covering popular songs.
