Ranking first impressions from the EP trailer:
>1. Black Sheep
Strong impression + got the most playtime. Studio version is sounding as great as the live one.
>2. Carousel
Leading song with an extremely catchy chorus for the preview. Full song is already great.
>3. You're Not Special
Very interesting sounding, loved the piano backing. The more I listened to it the more I wanted to hear the full version. Loved how musical it was.
>4. Future Island
Stands out from the rest with how cheerful it is. The full song is fun but the preview doesnt have my favorite part.
>5. Six Feet Under
Even though I like the song, I dont feel like the preview does a good job of showing what makes it great. Still, the chorus shown is nice.
>6. Left for Dead Lullaby
A bit strange sounding. Not sure if this is a good representation of the song given how we know the others develop. Still like the instruments so the resolution of this one could still be good.
Overall, I think it was a good choice to have Black Sheep as the lead but I'm a bit baffled at UMJs decision to release half of the songs 1 week apart from each other before the EP release. Carousel and Six Feet Under's MVs being the image most people have of Jigoku6 isnt bad, but Black Sheep is the best of the bunch and Future Island is their big tie in so focusing on those two would be the better move.
