that's the funny thing though, I've bought merch from this talent before. I have signed fucking card from her and I didn't purchase that shit day one. What kills me is how insanely fast it runs out, I was on Miko's last merch drop like white on ric, refresh store while concert is still going until it appears, added to cart... and while it was in my cart loading the check out screen it went out of stock. In the span of less than three seconds.

Watame did unlimited signed merch before, it took her 6 months to finish signing shit. Mori did 2 day unlimited for her EP thats coming out and It's been over a month and she is still signing shit. It's just not feasible.

I think the best solution would be to set a 5 minutes limit or something like that. It will probably end up being more than the set number limit but I don't think it's gonna be that much of a difference and everyone who really wants it will 100% get it (buying it doesn't take more than 1 minute and that's rather forgiving to be honest).
It's honestly extremely depressing to finish the concert with that bitter aftertaste of not getting the hand-signed merch and also makes the whole concert less fun since while you are watching it you know what's coming and at some point you are more focused on getting the limited edition than in fully enjoying your oshi's performance.
The adrenaline rush you get if you get it it's insane but overall it just makes the celebration worse.
