This has always been a retarded claim. CGDCT comes from anime in the first place, so in that context it would be like if the production committee for K-On! had announced that all the girls actually have off-screen boyfriends. Fans would be livid, and argumentation that it 'doesn't appear in the anime itself' would fall flat. Similarly, CGDCT fans in the context of vtuber are not 'okay' with them having boyfriends either. This is just trojan horse cuckshit.
