>>56216268They did that shit frequently on the subreddit before it turned to shit, too. Every what, 50k subs was an announcement, sometimes not even from Cover itself but just someone looking to farm le epic updoots. They turned Hololive into a sub race, which wasn't even remotely fair because of the massive disparity in global outreach that someone like Fubuki had compared to someone like Flare.
Gura debuting and mogging everyone near instantly was also a grim-dark reminder of how little JP had achieved at that point, working for multiple years, some years downsized to like 50k subs and stagnating. I wouldn't be shocked if this is the reason a lot of JPs simply stopped trying to reach out overseas. They really tried to get a global following until EN arrived and most of them simply gave up.

Ever since Myth came around, most JPs have stopped their attempts to reach out because the competition was simply too good. Not only could they not speak perfect English, they also had to compete with EN which had fucking Gura in it who mogged everyone in JP and immediately got one million subs in record time.
We live in a timeline where EN killed any and all hope of JP interacting with overseas fans more often. The only people who still actively visit that place now are Watame who most likely isn't Watame but a manager and Kanata whose last post was 4 months ago. Most hilarious of all, the EN members who COULD communicate with the fans on the subreddit have simply ditched that platform, too.
