I mean, they were fucking disappeared by Cover. Gone without a trace, none of us truly knows what happened to them, and those who do know can't say or even hint it (including Magni himself).
Usually, this kind of thing does not happen to people who are in good standing with the ones doing the disappearing. Do you think, do you THINK, that Cover would come bind and gag vesper and magni and kidnap them in the middle of the night and threaten any witness who talks about it if they were happy with these guys?
If it was a neutral external dispute Cover would not hesitate to reassure the fans these guys will be back - they have not. Breaks for health or family etc are outright announced, Cover is not that secretive. None of their genmates have been able to say even a word about it and neither have the pro-homo EN girls either. You would think if it were just a misunderstanding Mori or Kronii would tell us straight up or skirt on the edges of hinting everything is fine. Nothing is far.
I think Cover is slow burning this process not just for Advent but to try to let the fans gear themselves up for it and get used to a Tempus without them first. I could easily see an advisor saying "let them slowly come to accept the idea it could really happen and go through the steps of grief before confirming it" to try to tone down the reaction because a double firing is unprecedented and they don't want to risk people thinking the entire branch is about to collapse. Rather they are demonstrating it can go on without them first. I think this is actually done for the benefit of the remaining homos to naturally take in vesper/magni fans as refugees and give the viewers time to acclimatize, moresk than because of Advent (although that has to be a favor too) - so that the remaining dudes stand good odds of keeping their remaining fans.
Rushia was fired because NDA breach and they wanted to make that very clear and had no choice on the timing because Cove had to respond to Korekore's big leak stream that had just happened clearly exposing leaks. If that happened and Cover waited for months to terminate her that would look weak as fuck, plus give extra time for either Rushia or more leakers to come forward thinking it's low key OK to do that and not actually a termination worthy offense. Cover had to make it clear no, it is in response. With Vesper/Magni they control this situation this time and can handle it on their own timing as best they judge it to strategically minimize the losses incurred.
