Attack on Titan - the game of thrones of anime, the modern classic.
Last year's solid originals - Akudama Drive - really cool cyberpunk series from danganronpa author, Deca dence, Id:invaded, great pretender all solid.
One just needs to scroll through some of critically acclaimed stuff and there's too much to mention.
Now, you might be some kind of hipster.
But most people, including Mori, certainly isn't.
