>>4806155It's not all of a sudden. But one day you will wake up and realize how the hobby you loved is just entirely different from how it was when you startdd. Hololive is at the border of this, all of the actions of the first generation set the tone for future generations. The harder you make it for it to be acceptable for ecelebs to be normal collab material, the less likely it will be in the future. HoloEN has caused a boon in western vtubers, they are quite literally setting precedents.
Also for the record I don't care about male collabs but these awful no brain choice of collabs that only makes sense "business-wise", no one kicked up a fuss about K's and Rikka besides some shitposters, I would argue most people kneeled with Rikka's concert because of how quality it was. People are very afraid of western sensibilities, attention whores, and clout chasers from coming in and ruining all of this, which is a very good reason to me. Also stop saying these restrictions are that oppressive, it's fucking pathetic that people have some bare minimum standards and you wanna bitch and wine that we're collaring them even though they are on the fast track to becoming millionaires (if they aren't already), they can literally quit and do anything they want but they don't quit. Why? Because the job is that fucking good.
>>4806852>Swimsuit streams banned>NKODICE banned>Majority of ASMR now limited to mengen only>Matsuri scolded by management for hitting her desk>Asacoco banned>Coco banned from collabing with EN for months>Haachama's schizo lore banned until she convinces management to let her continue them somehow>Collabs with e-celebs banned (soon)>Gura terrified to swear>Mentions of loli or shota becoming increasingly less over the past year, Choco fretting about the kaigainiki audience after she mentions shota on stream>"S-stop saying these restrictions are that oppressive!"You can enjoy these restrictions all you want, nobody's stopping you, but Hololive is a neutered shadow of it's former self. There's a very good reason people dislike the idol angle being pushed onto vtubers outside of it.
