HoloEN vs NijiEN 2021
-- Hololive just debuted the Council, which underwhelmed with 2 bad talents (Sana and Bae), Mumei who was boring, and Kronii who was political. As for the others, Gura was streaming less, Kiara and Mori had always been cringy, and Ame was putting in less effort. It was up to Ina and Fauna to lift the whole branch, and Ina was starting to repeat jokes.
-- NijiEN by contrast had some excellent talents, Pomu, Elira, and Selen, including the legendary Lazulight zatsu squad, and some niche interest with Rosemi and Petra. They were spontaneous and possessed a cozy friendship dynamic that Hololive couldn't match. On top of that they were diligent streamers and produced far more content than their competition. Overall a fresh, fun take on the industry.

Under these circumstances, NjiEN is preferred.
HoloEN vs NijiEN 2022
-- HoloEN had begun to integrate males, which caused anger among the male fans and more importantly, reduced the distinction between Holo and Niji removing their competitive advantage. Gura almost entirely gave up streaming and Ina produced little content with long breaks. The extremely low number of streams meant that content was simply nowhere to be found.
-- NijiEN debuted males which invaded the girl's streams and made them unwatchable, ending the spontaneous collab culture. There was an influx of female fans from China which produced a deluge of homosexual art and fujo fanfics, invading and taking over the thread. Later in the year the content became increasingly degenerate, with twitch memes and even male offcollabs. At least they produced a large volume of content so you could usually find a stream to watch if you looked for it.

Under these circumstances, nobody is preferred. You might as well go watch small corpos and indies.
HoloEN vs NijiEN 2023
-- HoloEN debuted Advent, their most solid generation yet. They rejected the parasitic males and increased their content by multiples. At this point not only were the girls higher quality than the competition, but they had more, and produced a similar volume of streams to boot. Importantly, Gura returned to streaming, breathing life into the branch once again. Management was reformed too. Finally HoloEN was firing on all cylinders.
-- NijiEN collapsed under a series of controversies. With deep conflict between the management and the talents, several prominent graduations cracked the branch. 3/4 of the audience vanished and management lost faith in the branch. The talents became increasingly mentally ill and started taking long breaks, cutting back their unsustainable streaming schedules. They unfortunately doubled-down on their filthy behavior and even the most seiso girls started openly offcollabing with male in hotels. They lost any identity of what made them special in the first place and most of them started planning their exit strategy.

Under these circumstances, HoloEN is strongly preferred. They chose the right path and learned from all their failures. NijiEN couldn't reform itself and fell apart at the seams.
