I'm starting to realize that the vast majority of entertainment value that people get out of vtubers comes purely from fans making fan works and memes that often have little to do with anything the vtubers themselves do or say other than "they exist." Imagine being a content creator but the majority of your fans ignore everything you put out and instead just treat you like a background character who has no lines or lore so they make up their own head canon about you like feral fanfic writers. No wonder vtubers have such a large number of menhera amongst them.
