Opera was never acquired by a chinese company and your data would probably be safer with chinese companies than an american one if it was ever compromised. It’s just obviously fallacious to think american business is any better than chinese business at this point. Maybe to an american it is, but the rest of the world laughs at both of you guys when it comes to consumer standards and product quality
The real problem with opera and the best point to rail them with is that they are not a privacy first browser, they are a performance and customizability/gamer first browser. They will never be a biable browser to anyone that wants a secure private browser, especially if they remain closed source.
