There is "Duo Leveling", a channel with two actual 2view twin vtubers left that anycolor could try to poach.

It just doesn’t work. The twins have ridiculous chemistry with each other, sing together, etc. A example would be that you cannot force Gura to be with Kronii on a single channel together, and think it’s fine or improved because there are now two. Gura needs her space to actually be Gura.

They don't need to be twins, but hopefully we see more duos. Solo acts have always been boring to me unless you really try to play up chat interactions, and that just isn't something you see a lot of with vtubers.
Duos were the bread and butter of classic Let's Plays.

Thats the thing their 2 collabs they did were cute. It wasn’t Selen/Pomu level but it was still good. They used to show up in each others chat too then they just literally never interacted again

Besided what the VTuber company makes, two people then have to cut that income between them, making much less money, so not worth it to smaller VTuber companies to try out. Also it’s just hard to get it to work out well enough, and failing with lower income truly hurts. Also chemistry issues, and a host of other problems IMO.
