I always suspect that it was pushed because both it was her best numbers game but also because it was NijiEN-exclusive content since up until very recently, Hololive did not have Konami perms while they did. Maybe it was pushed extra hard by management in the background trying to capitalize on what they felt was a very rare advantage point they had over Holo for something/anything. However yes it went too far and now it looks sad that Pomu is trying to just coattail ride the association back over the Holo now that Holo can play MGS again. It's not like they didn't do it before, like where the fuck do you think ogey rrat even came from etc.
