If you watch an anime that has a girl as MC and there is a male counterpart introduced then it is very likely a Shoujo anime which further means it is most likely a Romance anime.
Now if you know anything about Anime or Vtuber fans then you know there are a lot of shipfags among them, especially women.
When they collab with someone directly these shipfags will point out anything that these two have in common, how they are a great match and want to have more collabs. This also happens with Males for the Yuriships but none of them are actually lesbians, so the ship just dies eventually.
Now with a male since it does follow the formula of shoujo anime, the guys will leave but you will see women viewership increasing.
So more shipfags that request more collabs. And it could potentially happen that they get along well and since they are actually heteros they might end up in a relationship.
I don't know a shit ton about Mea but she used to be shipped hard with Aqua and these days she mostly hangs out with Roberu where she never used her boobloli model.
tl;dr: male collabs means you are watching a shoujo romance anime and that is for female shipfags
