Even when it was obvious Myth was going to Japan for the Fes that they'd also be doing their 3D showcase since it'd make economical sense, you got some people here doubting it until it was announced. Though, because they already did 3D in a previous Fes, that underscored the viewership for the 3D showcase instead of actually being their first 3D debut if they just waited a little more.
This will also effect the others that had their 3D's already revealed in the Fes as well that are left. The question is, will they continue to just do 3D first for the concerts for subsequent gens or will they go back tot he old way of doing an actual 3D debut? That one seems more up in the air. They'd get more people purchasing for the new gen for their 3D parts in the concert where they make a lot of money for but then they'd undercut viewership when they do a 3D showcase later? If they care about money more instead of viewer numbers, they'd continue with the former rather than the latter.
