My rrat is that having a whole week for the anniversary is less about the anniversary itself, but letting the fan base know what the direction is going to be from now on and what to look forwards to. A fan base that is dooming is terrible for everyone involved, the talents lose motivation (a happy fan base can be motivating) and anything that should have generated hype doesn't because the fans don't see the point or what it'll build towards to.
