Alright, that might be what I'm thinking of.
I know the girls have talked about having input on their models and outfits in the past, and I vaguely recall someone in Advent (maybe Rissa) saying something similar as well. But it could just be regarding outfits, as you say.

From what I've seen, nobody has input pre-debut. It seems like Cover creates the model, the lore, has in mind a personality, and then casts to fill the role they want performed. I'm blanking on the actual talent names but I've seen clips in the past from both live and stars of them answering chat comments about their bodies with tongue in cheek references as if it were genetic, like "you can't choose the way your body/face looks either" or "everyone is just born the way that they are". The one exception I would theorise is FuwaMoco as they are so incredibly specific.

Lui's was probably scrapped because of how absurdly large she is. Even without the hat she'll still take up a lot of the screen because of her hair spreading out. It seems like they revisited the idea for Narissa. Chloe's is very similar to the final version so Cover probably wasn't 100% happy with it

I wanna hear people's thoughts on this, cause a lot's been on my mind since the graduation announcement. With concerns about Bettel following the same path as Magni and Vesper, and lots of sentiment about Magnoir abandoning Holostars/their fans/their guildmates, do you think this effect could be lessened if the workload associated with being a Holostars EN member was a little lighter?

Hear me out. We know it's pretty normal for Hololive talents to have lighter stream schedules, take breaks, etc, to avoid burnout and also to give them time for real life stuff, whether that's roommate activities, friends, family, gym, etc. For some reason, Holostars EN doesn't seem to have that expectation. I'm not sure if it's enforced by management, or just something that the boys choose to do, but they all have really full schedules most weeks, and make constant references to meetings, manager stuff, behind the scenes work, etc. It's clear that being in Holostars EN requires the equivalent of at least a full time job.

The problem is that in order to pass auditions, you have to have proved yourself as a content creator beforehand. As any content creator knows, as soon as you stop making stuff, your audience disappears. It's really rare to take a break, come back, and see the same kind of numbers. So it seems like Holostars EN are in a position where they either have to give up the progress they've made on their own, or try and balance the workload of being a HoloPro talent with the workload of their PL in order to not lose momentum. With that in mind, it's not like I can blame them for not wanting to let go of that safety net, or returning to it altogether.

Do you think if the boys weren't trying to do 5+ streams a week, membership content, meetings, recording vocals/voice packs, etc, that there would be less fear about Bettel or others giving up and returning to their PLs? Should they be expected to sever ties to their past in order to be "all in" on Holostars? I don't think there are any wrong answers here, I just wanna see opinions other than my own. What's fucked is that they lost a guy from either end of the RM popularity spectrum. Magni left (presumably) because his RM content was more popular and he could bring in some of his Magni fans as well, while Vesper's RM was not popular at all but still left (presumably) with the hope that some of his fans would watch his RM content and make that viable. Neither was all that attached to Holostars or idol stuff, so how does Cover keep them? Holostars isn't the golden ticket that Hololive is so it's a lot harder to incentivize the boys into staying. Piling work onto them really doesn't help it would seem.

It's a different story if we're meeting with stakeholders or kicking off a new project.

There's definitely not as much incentive for them to stay as Hololive, especially when you mount on the pressure and antis that will come with just being under the Holostars name. We also know Vesper and Magni hated their models the most and were the most menhera out of the bunch, so there's that too

It's kind of hard to accept all this is real when they insisted that the numbers didn't matter and that they were here for the boys at the end of the day. I guess they finally had enough and snapped... I just wish management had at least compromised to have them stay long enough to have a graduation. I'd take closure anyday over the emptiness that I've felt over the last week

If I had to make up a rrat, it's probably because Magni excluded them from whatever anniversary plans he was making up, and whenever he did present those plans they were rejected outright. The Tachibana rrat could possible play into it as well if management caught wind of the leaks and decided to place a tighter grip on whoever it is that talents collab with, but that's still just a guess. Overall, I blame the managers, and if MagNoir ever start to ponder coming back, the first stipulation will be that everybody who fucked up before has been out of the company for at least a month prior.

My rrat is that management cancelled the projects in progress (possibly caused by Tachibana) for the anniversary and Magni demanded a refund from Cover to cover the money that was wasted. Cover rejected his demands, so Magni got mad and walked out. I guess Vesper tried to stand up for his best friend in the company and vowed that he would also walk out if they didn't reimburse Magni, but Cover held firm so they left together. The extended hiatus was for negotiations to take place, which ultimately fell through.
