But all arguments about a barrier not existing are related to EN because it's a mixed-gender branch, JP has strict rules and this is a JP event. Even in EN, while it's obvious there's been plenty of free chatter between sexes, it still has to be opt in unless you really believe the new males were just instantly given access to message types like Gura and Irys. If that were true, it would likely only lead to someone like Gura who already ignores her messages to put them off even more.
