But since he has changed his tune over time (played FF14, Tower of Fantasy, Honkai Star Rail, now Holocure, and had been on streams with vtuber girls before... not a surprise, considering his Mythic crew) they've fallen in line and cheer this on.
Mind you, I don't think this is all some grand calculated plot to get in with Hololive, the simpler explanation is just that these fairweather soulless twitch ecelebs simply follow whatever the trends are and embracing (or at least not openly hating anymore) "weebshit" is more profitable now than in the past since that's where people have moved towards.
