>>57701166An entire post consisting of nothing but /#/ takes, amazing, it's impressive how little of your own thoughts you retards are capable of having.
>The fact that 70% of his audience is male cannot be ignored.Male fans in Japan aren't the same as the ones in the west. You're correct, the big NijiJP males all have majorly male audiences, however they're not like the average western brotuber beggars. They aren't as insecure, they can handle a bit of fanservice, they're fine and might even support the idol activities, some of them are simply gay, and so on. Basically the male fans that don't want to fuck them won't get filtered by the smallest things, like the fans on the English side would.
Kanae is way gayer than the majority of EN males, and yet he has 60% male audience (which used to be even higher in the past). He had a lot of male fans come to his concert too.
>What we can learn from NijiJP's male Vtubers is that their daily activities are similar to those of streamers without avatars. What they do is the same as any other vtuber, male or female, though? They absolutely do not act like fleshtubers, some of them keep up the keyfabe, most of them do things in line with the vtuber culture. They would not be the same if they were fleshtubers at all. This isn't about NijiEN where you have people like Enna and Kyo acting like normies with anime avatars.
>It is true that their idol-like activities may have influenced them to gain more fans, but that is only an added effect, not the main content. So it.. made them more popular? They do different kinds of content for different kinds of audiences, and people who only care for 1 kind will ignore the rest.
>Since the majority of vtubers' fans are male and women are in the minority, it is impossible to maintain a fan base if the main activity is idolizing. It's not their main activity, they do both.
>This is the biggest reason why there is no demand for holostars. No, holostars is a just entirely different issue that has nothing to do with idolizing. I'd say the biggest reason for them not being successful is how they're trying to introduce male talents in a company known for their female talents from the start.
>>57702440>and that idol activities are rather disliked by male viewersI bet you have no proof for this, because it is not true. At most they won't care for those activities, but people aren't going to stop watching a male vtuber because he started doing idol stuff.
