1. Kizuna Ai earned her subs when the vtuber scene was much smaller. 3 mil then was like 30 mil now.
2. Ai-chan laid the groundwork for modern vtubing. Everyone is standing on her shoulders.
3. Ai-chan has way more going for her than just her youtube channel. She's even on TV sometimes. Her youtube channel doesn't matter that much.

Ai-chan has basically achieved chuuba CHIM and that isn't going to change anytime soon.

The Kizuna AI channel obviously still cares about total sub count when they're still posting videos trying to get people to subscribe. Nah, her growth wasn't THAT big. I think she was about 2.8 something mil. But she has grown a lot faster than usual after the release of Reflect and the extra growth doesn't seem to be tapering either.
