It's obvious the whole vtuber industry is in decline; we don't talk about who is the most popular vtuber anymore, but rather who has managed to retain most of their audience.
From what I understand, HololiveJP was the most successful overall winner with talents like Pekora, Marine, and Miko, with even talents who aren't at their prime anymore like Aqua, Shion, and Ayame still having a large audience. Their HololiveEN branch has been downgraded to mid-tier JP at best, while the ID branch—I have no idea—does Kobo still dominate the Indo market?
Nijisanji still has the most successful male VTuber in history, called Kuzuha. Luxiem was supposed to stand beside him, but they fell harder than the Chinese economy. NijiEN exploded, but how is NijiJP doing? Salome was able to retain a sizable audience but seemed only comparable to a mid-tier HoloJP.
On the Twitch side, is Ironmouse still the queen? Are there any VTubers even close to taking her crown?
And all the small corpos who pat themselves on the back for having NijiEN numbers—are there any promising ones that are able to reach at least HoloEN numbers?
For all the indies as well, any rising talent that started their channel as A VTUBER RATHER THAN BANDWAGON MIDWAY?
