though the rate nijiID was putting people out wasnt nearly as bad as nijiEN ended up being, since all the waves were 3-4 people and the first 4 waves were in 3 month intervals before covid happened at which point they took longer breaks between each wave, more than half a year from wave 5 to 6.
that period of time was a growing period for the industry as a whole so putting out a bunch of people was also a way to counteract all the new vtubers that were popped up during that time, as a means to keep branch more relevant by having more people around to watch.

add onto the work ethic problems of some of the livers and the lack of knowing how to game the system well and nijiID failed.
