Vesper legitimately has so much of his bad behavior available at his own admission and on public record it's fucking ridiculous to act like he's some wholesome old man. Half of his stories are about ways that he fucking screwed over other people when you actually listen to them and a metric fuckton of the shit he says is demonstrably false like how he debuted signalling how much he loved Holostars only to know absolutely nothing about them in practice, or his DnD veterancy being revealed to be a sham in his total unfamiliarity with actual play.
In regards to astroturfing, his indie identity was built on being a grassroots vtubers whho grinded up his own when there's a literal video on his channel where he walks through how he paid for clips and promotions. The history of his career is leeching up through larger people and then immediately ditching them once he gets into the next size bracket. When it comes to /vt/, he was an early days /wvt/faggot that people always suspected was posting about himself pretending to be a fan for promotion. We've since, very recently even, found out that he posts right on this fucking board. A thread very recently after his official release has him in it drumming up interest.
