>>57902739Well for one thing Towa was actually the first to tweet about Coco, but she or her manager deleted it after a little bit. But that's not as important since Fubuki was the first to tweet and leave it up.
But aside from that basically everything is slightly off to make it sounds more dramatic than it was. The chinese translators got locked out of the account a day or two after Fubuki made that tweet, so the sole operator was a Cover manager. And they didn't make any public statements until they announced that they disbanded after Haato/Coco's suspensions ended, they basically just yelled at Cover's guy in DMs for 2 weeks. Basically Fubuki made that tweet, and the lead TL complained to Cover that it is gonna make the chinamen angry, and if they want to continue doing business in china she needs to delete it and then they formally apologize when Haato/Coco return. Her TL team a day or two later privately met and decided to go on hiatus because the tweet wasn't deleted so they figured Cover wasn't taking china seriously anymore. Almost every other TL team was doing the same around this time. Then they voted to delete all their translated videos on the main channel because they didn't want their work to financially benefit Cover anymore until they formally apologize for real, but they couldn't because one of them mentioned it to a Cover employee so Cover changed the login information and locked the TLers out of the account. Cover's guy told them he can't delete the videos for legal reasons. They then waited for two weeks for the suspension to end, probably bitching in DMs the whole time. Then it ended and Coco didn't really have a big grand apology (ironically she wanted to, even before the suspension, but wasn't allowed) so they yelled at Cover's guy in DMs again.
The leader of the TL group then made his first public post about the incident and said they were disbanding but can't delete their videos because it will make the channel owe Bilibili money or something retarded. I don't know if that was an excuse that Cover's manager made up or not because I have no idea how Bilibili monetization works. After that he was informed that Cover was actually taking their request seriously and discussing it. There was some kind of meeting that included Fubuki herself. The TL guy was informed that the higher ups at Cover agreed to their request to delete the videos, Fubuki also personally did (which is the source of their "she agreed" meme btw), and they then deleted the videos.
