Twitch generally is a fucking annoying place to be and the fans there are the absolute fucking worst actually-fucking-stupid dregs possible, as the average viewer age is probably literally like, 14. So, to be successful with that demographic, you are trained by those stupid retarded kid viewers into being something more entertaining to a stupid retarded kid. Loud, edgy, vulgar just for the sake of being vulgar. The fucking actual opposites of sophisticated, refined, intelligent etc.
Little kids think saying "fuck" and "pussy" a lot makes you more adult, that constant sex jokes/stories etc make you an adult, because those are things adults can in theory do, but maybe a kid maybe can't easily do or is just starting to learn about. Maybe they can't swear a blue streak at the dinner table because their mommies will scold them, but they see adults do it on TV/the internet all the time so absolutely hold that up to twitch streamers as validation that they're in big-kid territory now. Or maybe their balls just dropped and they want to fap every 30 minutes whenever they're alone, and those horny "veetoober" cartoon girls on twitch, which they had known for years already of course so has that aspect of familiarity easing them into it, are alluring to them when talking about sexual stuff they've never actually had said to them or around them yet. Etc.
The obnoxious nature of most twitch vtubers makes a lot of sense when you analyze the demographics there. It works with those tubers specifically because it's twitch's stupid shitty self contorting them into pandering to edgy/horny kids. Kids looking for the more usual friend simulator experience will just watch dude streamers. To watch a girl streamer on twitch very often connotates some kind of sexual/coomer thing, the meta is you're NOT there watching girls because they're cute/charming/actually amusing like many Holos/Nijis are. Those aspects/qualities are fucking wasted on kids actually because the prospect of their budding sexuality being prodded at by constant sex jokes, in between peepeepoopoo kiddy humor they can also understand, just clicks with them more.
I'd strongly advise any up and coming aspiring vtubers just use Youtube as your platform to get off on the right foot honestly.
