I'm honestly excited for them. I won't be surprised if after all their debuts they suddenly put out another single.
I wonder how they will actually operate. I'm pretty sure they will be streaming. Looking at their tweets you can say that they are doing to do just that. But if the focus is music, will they actually be releasing a single like monthly or something?

Anyway 2 days left before the reveal. Remember to sub especially if you guys got unsubbed due to the cull.

A-Chan said DEV_IS is a totally different branch; not a new gen. So there's Hololive, Hololive Indonesia, Hololive English, and now Hololive DEV_IS. And ReGloss is the name of the generation within DEV-IS.

I wonder what the concept of them will be and what their activities will be like. Will they stream games like all the other holos or will they only make appearances for singing and concerts?

There's no way they won't stream games. But I do think they will do a lot more actual activities as an idol group. I don't know how Jpop works now so that's what I'm basing it on.

Since it is a different division entirely, I definitely don't hope they end up doing minecraft/holocure/mario party/etc streams after like a couple months. I want to see a stronger focus on actually creating music related content. But I feel like they will just become a bunch of comedians rather than idols after a while...

Part of me kind of wonders if part of their job will be spearheading new music for cover/hololive in general.
They make a fuckload of cover songs and I think they probably realize how tired/boring some viewers think it is (and how awkward it is when people feel that way about the song but want to show enthusiasm and love to their oshi(s) who cover them).

If they do end up doing something like this it could really help everyone, and I think that's pretty great.

About the YT unsub shenanigans, it might be worthwhile unsubscribing them and then subscribe again. Personally I still see myself subscribed to all of them and their videos do appear on my YT feed, but I resub anyway just to be sure. Hope the girls take it in stride, because being subculled multiple times is really disheartening.

I would assume they're more "traditionally employed" than current holos, where they're contractually obligated to do music/concerts (paid for by the company), but are also allowed to do their own streams on the side if they want.

The designs are SEX the girls are still affectionate and cute so far. Shunkan Heartbeat is okay enough of a generic jpop song that it works. Final judgement will obviously be reserved for 6 months after debut. But I like them

Might be a pessimistic take but I don't see how music-focused streams and events for Vtubers are gonna get good views anytime soon.

Maybe they will blow my mind and actually will a new audience out of thin air like Cover wants them to, but if they can, the good ol' Holobox is still an option.

There are vsingers from tiny ass corpos or even indies getting 1k views just by doing karaoke streams and nothing else. If they are actually good singers, they should do well enough with dorito buff.

Will watch all their debut streams, subbed to Nijika but have very low expecations as their activities in regards to streaming is different.
I'm often using the official Hololive schedule on their website that shows only Hololive JP Holos. The Dev_is girls are in their own category which feels rather wrong.
