>>58183020>>58183976Part of me suspected back then that the crisis that happened around the half-anniversary was that Vesper had chosen to graduate (not renew) at the end of his contract and that's why all the other boys went menhera over it.
https://archive.palanq.win/vt/thread/41165676/#41176072Magni had his menhera maid menshi in which he talked about his struggles with burnout, how much the friendships that he made in Tempus, particularly Vesper's, meant to him, and how Vesper and the fans were the two things keeping him sane. And Axel had his own menhera menshi talking about how much the mystery crisis fucked up all the boys emotionally, compared it to finding your parents had a really bad fight and were breaking up and everything was changing overnight, and started talking about not being able to save his old friend who committed suicide.
We were worrying about Vesper or Magni graduating, and slowly that worry left our minds as time went on and no graduations happened (yet). But it eventually came true.
It makes me wonder if there was an eventual graduation expected or at least seriously considered behind the scenes.
Maybe management (not even as a monolith - maybe some wanted to save them despite other people in leadership making things difficult) did what they could to try to hang on to the talent(s) by giving Vesper space and helping them both get upgraded models. Maybe the discrepancy between them talking about future plans and then abruptly disappearing before the anniversary was that something upsetting had happened that hastened their expected exit or had made them change their minds yet again after thinking of staying.
There's probably more to it than that, since this doesn't adequately explain the apparent lockout on their accounts when things seemed normal up until it struck, but my brain hurts so I'll just send this train of thought out into the void.
